Research on Persuasive Technology for Health and Environment
Persuasive Technology harnesses the effectiveness of technology as a tool for persuasion, with the ultimate goal of engaging in communication to positively influence people's health attitudes and behaviors. At the Media UX Lab, we conduct research in media technology and design, utilizing the concept of persuasive technology to address societal issues such as environmental pollution, infectious diseases, and crises, aiming to solve health and environmental problems.
Research Paradigm for Solving Social Issues
Over the past decade, the MediaUX Lab has undertaken diverse projects, aiming to establish a research paradigm for addressing social issues. This paradigm encompasses research execution, outcome sharing, outcome dissemination, and practical activism. We endeavor to contribute to practical activities aimed at solving health and environmental issues in Korean society through scientific research. The MediaUX Lab pursues societal interest and exploration in solving health and environmental issues using interactive media, while fostering interdisciplinary research culture and striving to establish integrated research methodologies and theories.
