This study suggests that intimacy of actual interpersonal relationship affects player’s user experience in game-play. Despite the importance of social relationship in playing with team members, little research on the relationship of game players has been conducted. Therefore, this study did an experiment, playing a mobile game, “Clash Royale,” to examine the effects of social relationship between team players on cooperation, satisfaction and intentions to play games together. An analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was performed, and the results showed that the higher the social relationship, the higher the cooperation and satisfaction of the game-play. The findings can contribute on game research related to player’s social network and a mobile game design.
